USPS Postal Rates Increasing Notice Soon Effective
USPS Postal Rates Increasing Notice Soon Effective.
Hello, and Welcome to Second Time Treasures. Always glad to have you stop, and visit with Me. Whew! What a week, not enough time for everything, trying to make out a schedule of things for me to do during the week...blogging, website, social networks, market places, pictures, listings, repurposing upcycling and recreating, so on, so on, and so on.
While doing that I wanted to drop by here, and give you all a heads up, and a friendly reminder about our postal rates increasing. Yep, that time of year again, another postal increase, and it goes into effect January 22, 2012. Postage stamps will go from .44 up to .45. Course, everything else will going higher too. I tried to get a chart from the USPS site for all of the changes, but was having problems accessing it all to make some copies. Hopefully all of you will be able to find them numbers you need for all things you do with mailing. I like to have my charts copied ahead of time so that I can calculate all the flat rate shipping that I offer with things I sell.
Also, another reminder.....there will be NO mail on Monday, the 16th. Martin Luther King Jr Birthday is being observed. I know, that one got by me too. I had to look at the calender when I was being reminded....they were right, and I was a day off again:)
Hope this finds everyone having a super weekend. I am trying to work on gluing some things with the limited working spaces I have right now. I started one piece, added some glue, checked on it, has not moved and is setting. Will let it sit over night before I try to glue the other piece to it. When it is completed I will drop by here, and show ya'll a picture of what I have done. This time I am using 3 pieces, and they are all new pieces too. Yepper! Bought them from the store this time to try.
Thanks again for visiting with Second Time Treasures. Hope ya'll are having a super start to the weekend. Take care, have fun thrifting, hope you can get out to do some treasure hunting, and enjoy it all! Make sure you say Hi so I know you were here, and that I can come by to visit with you also. Toodles! See you again soon:-)

Glassware, Green Glass, Amber Glass, Blue Glass
Glassware, Green Glass, Amber Glass, Blue Glass
Hello, and Welcome to Thrift Store Junkies with LilacsNDreams! Glad to have you here, and that you could take some time to visit with me!:) As some already know, I have not done much of anything the past 2 weeks due to being home sick:-( Great timing as some of us had planned a "Girls Weekend" We were going to meet at a 1/2 way point for us to get together, had the motel reserved, had things mapped out, addresses for some possibilities, and all of that wonderful stuff. New area, new places for treasures, and so on. Well.....I am still home not wanting to infect anyone yet. The girls got together, were packing up, and heading out this morning. I am upset, and missing being there already....but what's a person to do, right? So, I came to my blog to share some thing with everyone here....until I need to step away again:)
Above you will see a few pictures of one of my last ventures out there with thrifting. I was holding off on getting too much due to this weekend, but as you can see from these pieces, and others that have been shown, there are some possibilities to be repurposing with too. I want to try, and take a day where I play around with the glass pieces, and try to put something together a little bit differently than what I have done so far. I keep thinking I will find something else to do, but I do LOVE my glassware. I enjoy painting pieces, but now that it is cold....I will not be able to do much of it unless it is small enough to work with sponge applicators, and some small brushes:)
It's Friday, and I hope everyone is having a beautiful day. It is cool here, and beautifully sunny too! Wish I was out there digging, but health should really come first....no matter how frustrated I am getting...LOL:) Thanks for the visit everyone, take care, and see you again soon!:)

Mikasa Cake Plate Stand 3 Tier Repurposed
Mikasa Cake Plate Stand 3 Tier Repurposed
Welcome to Second Time Treasures, and glad to have you here! I wanted to stop by quickly, and show ya'll another picture of another project I have completed. My 1st 3 tier cake plate stand made using a Mikasa Dinner Plate, and Miksasa Saucer Plate, then I used a Yellow Alco Salad Plate. I connected the pieces together with glass candle holeders that are matching. Another project repurposed with items not selling with different venues I have used. I don't want to throw them out, don't want to give them away, and so I have repurposed them to this. All the plates are in like new condition, and the glass candle holders are in a new condition too. When I have posted this for sale along with other items I have done, I will surely note it here for all of you to visit. Till then, hope you enjoy this before, and after pictures of this. Thanks for visiting with Second Time Treasures, and hope to see you again. Always welcome to comment, and share with everyone here too.

Glass Cloche Cake Snack Plate Home Decor Repurposed
Glass Cloche Cake Snack Plate Home Decor Repurposed.
Welcome to Second Time Treasures, and glad to have you here. Below you will notice pictures that are before, and after of some items I have repurposed. I have not listed them for sale with my Artfire Store yet as I am still working on completed inventory projects before posting them. Until that time, I thought I would share a little bit of what I have been working on. Hope you enjoy:)
Sorry, did not get complete pictures of the before with this project repurposed, but hope you can see what was done. I used a glass bowl with a fluted rim, a glass Homco candle holder for the base, and a large white lace with a mauve colored ribbon pulling it together with a tied bow.
Here is the completed Glass Compote Candle Holder Repurposed Home Decor that was reconstructed by Me. The "skirt" around the neck of this bowl area could be removed, and also applied to a small mini lamp shade too.
Here is a Glass Vase, and a Glass Candle Holder that holds the skinny slim candles.
Glass Cloche With Green Vase and Pink Flowers was repurposed by Me. I glued the glass candle holder to the bottom of the glass vase making it a Glass Cloche to adorn any room in the home. Along with the for inside the cloche I used a green glass anchor hocking mini vase, and some pink flowers from my own supply making the small bouquet.
I have listed these Mikasa Plates with about 3 different venues, at different times, and they have not sold. I do not wish to throw them out, and I do not want to give them away either. So, I have repurposed them for use in your home.
2 Tier Plate Dessert Cookie Snacks Chips and Dip. Item has many uses, and many possibilities for many occasions too. I used the dinner plate on bottom, attached a salt shaker of a different brand with same background color, and speckled design. Attached a matching saucer plate, and have added the dip, or sauce bowl to be used too. The yellow bowl is not attached. Removing it would only add another use of this tier plate being displayed.
Showing the same 2 Tier Plate with the yellow bowl sitting next to it.
I have enjoyed making these pieces this week, and am anxious to work with more, and repurpose more as I separate more of my inventory for this purpose. Thanks so much for visiting with Second Time Treasures today, and hope you enjoyed your visit. You are always welcome to leave comments, share with us all, ask questions, and so on. Take care everyone, and have a wonderful weekend!:)

Having a Cottage Style Decorated Home, What do You Have
Having a Cottage Style Decorated Home What do You Have.
Having those cottage style homes is light, can be airy, fresh, is fun, and is clearly original. Today's style can often incorporate the soft palettes of green, blue, yellow, shades of lilac, and of course pink too. Sometimes you may see things brightened with a brisk color used too. Using pastels for color, some pretty florals, and with some vintage home accessories gives your home that cozy cottage style.
Lace handkerchiefs, lace trims, fragrance candles and some sweet smelling soaps, those comfortable rocking chairs, wallpapers, fabrics are so yummy for the home of cottage styles. Also, sometimes some glassware whether it is clear, or slight coloring that sparkles in the light may be displayed. Picture some of those furniture slip covers that are inviting, some vintage style upholstery, and of course the layers of weathered paint. Gotta love that chippy paint.
This cottage style decorating can surface pretty much anywhere, and with it the attitude is what can also make the house cottage styled. Depending where the house is located sometimes I have seen seaside, shells, and sailboats incorporated with their decor too.
In today's expression of the cottage style is with the thought of flea markets, fresh flowers, vintage patterns, and a little bit of romance with it too. It's a welcoming feeling to all who may visit.
I love cottage style homes, and hope to have it with our home eventually. It's a working progress. I really do admire the style when I see it in books, magazines, and by many who share their homes with us. Which style of home are you?
Thanks for visiting with PassnItOn, come back often to read, share with us here, and make comments. All are welcome. When in roam visit my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store, and my LilacsNDreams Ecrater Store. Maybe you will find something to fit with your cottage style homes from them.

Website, Hosting, Shopping Carts, Domains
Hello everyone, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Glad to have you here, and that you could drop by here!
Here is another topic for everyone to read, for some shared opinions, and to offer what I have read too. First of all, most of this posting did come from my blog at LilacsNDreams too. Asking about Websites, should I have one, do I really need one, it's so much work, really necessary, and they can cost too. Yes, you are right, they can be costly. Depends what you all want to do with it, what your goals are, and how much you would like to spend with it too.
It doesn't matter how many storefronts a person has it's a good idea to have a website. The website can serve as your home base, helps with links for your web presences to one another, and can serve as your 'hub' that can direct visitors to your stores, your blogs, and can serve appear as an online business card for you too.
Before jumping into having a website I would recommend doing some research, and look around a bit. Do searches about websites, see what others have to say, and suggest. Calculate how much you would like to spend for a website. Incude the cost of hosting, your domains, shopping carts, and do you intend to advertise to get your website out there too? Many things to consider.
What is the best Host, and what should you consider? You need to consider how it needs to be affordable for you. I know Hostgator starts about $3.96 a month, and I see them mentioned often by others using them. The host needs to perform well for you, and your visitors. You need to be able to draw traffic. Does it give you the option of setting up a shopping cart? Make sure you have support staff that is available 24/7, and that it has the tools to let you edit the site yourself too. And, does it provide for a blog if you would like to have one. Another thing is can you do the domain with them, or do you need to go else where for that?
Having a website is great for your business cards. You use your main domain name on the card with the URL, and it will lead people to the website. At the website they can view, and click to where they prefer to shop at. Your traffic can come from your host, and also your business cards too.
Now, there are some websites that are free to use. Depends how much work you want to work with it yourself, what you are knowledgable with, and where you feel comfortable at.
I have a free website. There are different free ones out there. Some I have liked, and some I do not like as well. Google has one you can set up as many pages as you want, it's free, and takes a little work. I am not all computer literate so sometimes anything will take a little work for me. Check google for sites.google.com/ Or, just go to google, and search for it there. Microsoft Office Live, FreeWebstore.org, Webstarts.com, Wix.com, and Weebly.com are some others offered for free. I know you can get one at Vendio, don't let the ebay thing bother you as it can be done without ebay, and I think that one was free?
There is also Pro Stores, and I do believe that starts at about $30 a month. I have heard others mention it with good comments from them. I have been noticing some websites done with vistaprint.com. Sorry, I do not know the cost for them. Yahoo has business sites/stores that can be used, and not sure of their cost. Just a lot out there, and no way I could mention them all. Search google for many of them, read forums with sites and social medias to learn of some, and just roam the internet to find them too.
As mentioned I have a website free, and that is with Weebly.com. Through bannerfans.com which is also free, I have made my banners, avatars, and things that are used with the site. One of my tabs on my website is for a blog. I have directed 1 of my domains to this website. I got my domains through GoDaddy.com. I have never had an issue with them, pay a small yearly fee for the domains, and that cost is sooo small compared to paying fully for a website, and all the extras with it.
I do not have a shopping cart on the site. I could have it, or the buy it now buttons as weebly does have that. Instead I chose to use my rapid cart from Artfire, My widget from Ecrater, and for Addoway and the other stores I also have my RSS Feed going to the pages for them.
I have chosen to use my website, and my blogs as my landing pages showing my links to the stores I sell with, links to my blogs, link to my website, and so on. Maybe at some point I will add the shopping cart, and sell either with my blog or website. But, for now, for me, I am comfortable using them as landing pages, and making an internet presence that way. Please, visit my LilacsNDreams Website, and have a look around. It is not perfect, I am sure there is much more to do with it, and different ways to do things, but I am comfortable with it, and it works for me. Great support at weebly, and they have been getting used by quite a few too.
I hope this has helped you with the issues of a website. I know I have not covered everything for you, but hope I was able to give you some things to think about, consider, and research with. Thanks again for visiting with PassnItOn, and visit with me here anytime. Always welcome with the visits, comments, sharing, and so on.

Selling Online is Hard Work For Sellers
Hello, and Welcome to my PassnItOn Blog! Below you are going to see a topic about Selling Online, it's hard work, different than the brick and mortar stores, and some things involved with selling online. Sharing my opinion, and others are welcome to comment, and share too. Also, what you read below has pretty much been copied over from my other LilacsNDreams Blog, but wanted to share it here with you too. Hope you enjoy it.
Today I am going to discuss a subject that many of us deal with as sellers online. Please remember this is in my opinion. There is no right, or wrong. You are welcome to comment, or share with us here too. When searching, or doing a listing with any of the venues I sell with I try to put things into perspective as if I were the buyer is generally how I work with most of my listings, and things I do for Online Sales.
I believe that Selling Online is hard work, and could be even more if I did everything I read and seen mentioned to do. It is very time consuming, and much harder to do than selling in person in my opinion. I feel it to be harder as the buyer is not able to touch what is being sold. Therefore have to work more with our descriptions to help the buyer feel the product, and also make the search engines happy with words we use. Along with this are pictures so that the prospective buyer can also better see with our descriptions what is being offered. As some of us know, pictures can also be time consuming with lighting, finding the right angles, amount of pictures, etc.
Another issue is that there is no two way conversation between the seller, and buyer to see the buyer's eyes. Seeing someone's eyes helps get a feel about the upcoming purchase. Helps you to better assist with addressing things right on the spot. Conversation is always helpful. I myself sometimes get too winded when describing things in my listings. I am trying to get the buyer to see what I see, feel what I can feel, and hopefully answer questions without wasted time between us contacting each other through emails.
Time is spent with shipping costs, finding the best one to offer for the item being sold, and the best way to ship from past experiences too. Unless the items I offer can be put to something smaller like an envelope, I generally send items USPS Priority Mail with insurance included. Reason for that is generally the shipping rates are a bit better, customers get their items within 2-3 days, and the insurance is always included for a more secure delivery. That comes from past dealings with the postal service. If a customer contacts me, and wishes to have it sent another way, I will work with them to do so as requested. I work with my customers the best possible way that I can.
Another thing as a seller to keep in mind is the venues we choose to sell with. Some of the venues do not cater to the same type of buyers, and sellers. I have found that sometimes what can work for one seller does not always work for another seller. There are many venues out there to choose from, some have higher fees to sell with than others, some advertise for their members, some work well with their members by having an operational site with support that can always be contacted too. It all depends what works for you, and where you find to feel comfortable with. It is important for you to pick the right selling venue for You.
Some have their own websites. That is more cost to some with hosting fees, domain fees, shopping carts, and with your own website you also have to work harder to get yourself seen within search engines for the prospective buyer to find you. For me I have my blogs, my website, all having domains directed to them, and find this to be a smaller cost for me. With my blogs, and websites I offer the links for the venues I sell at, instead of a shopping cart I use the Artfire Rapid Cart, Ecrater Widget, and the RSS Feeds for the sites including Addoway. If any questions I can be contacted with no problem as I do read my emails through out the day. Also, if a seller would like to purchase directly from me I am more than welcome to invoice them through paypal.
So, what did you think? How has it been for you selling online, and have you found what can work for you? If so, please share with us here. Happy Memorial Day! Day of Remembering. . . . . .
Hi! Welcome to PassnItOn! Glad to have you visiting with me today!
Short, and very simple for all of you today with this posting. It's a holiday. This is a special day to remember, and be thankful for those who fought for the rights we have today. Today I am taking a break from things, lounging around, having fun grilling out, and just having some good old family time. I hope that all of you are able to be some where, able to share with someone, and have something you can do for this special day to all of us.
Please, if you will, take a moment to remember someone and thank them, remember a special time, maybe a significant date, etc. Don't forget to think of, and thank those men and women who have fought for to allow us to have in our country the freedoms that we now have, and enjoy. Bless those who fought for us, those who have passed fighting for us, and God be with those who are still fighting for us.
Thanks for stopping by, and visiting with me today everyone! Have a Very Happy Memorial Day! Enjoy, have fun, and please be safe!

Artfire, Blog, LilacsNDreams, Vintage, Collectibles, Repruposed, Upcycled
Hello everyone, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Wonderful to see you here!
I like many others have gotten into some kind of slump of not getting things done. I think with all the google changes of the UPI, having to redo listings to help them get accepted with google, and each site you belong to seems to do it just a lil bit differently. So, that has taken some work to do that, and then also keep up with Facebook, blogs, website, and so on.
I have been working with my website the past few days. Know how you do something, and it just feels unfinished, not full done, like it is missing something? Well, I was getting that on my website I was working with. Did not feel fully like I wanted it to. I had done quite a bit with it, but it just felt like there was something missing, and could not put my finger on it. Well, I worked with it, and think I have it to a point I can enjoy it more. Right now I have it set up with different tabs for venues I sell with, and am using all widgets that I can to either click, and view more, or have it take you to purchasing pieces too.
I have reworded some of my Welcome, and About Me, and hopefully I can leave it alone for a while now. I need to work on adding more content with it, but that is one thing I am thankful for that I did add a Blog Tab to the top of my site so there is a place to blog with. At least I can offer things there, show things, and keep everyone updated with things by using my website blog too.
So, what has everyone else been up to? I know around here this weekend is a very big weekend for graduation! Another year gone by, and another time in life for those who will be stepping forward to experience life, and the new roads that they will take. How scarey, how fun, how exciting, and how heart felt too.
Hopefully I can keep clearing things out of the house, narrow down some areas, reorganize & simplify, and start working with some crafts again. I have made notes, and hope to imply some of the ideas soon that I have been noting:)
Hope this finds everyone doing well, and wishing ya'll a super weekend! Visit my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store for vintage, collectibles, glassware, home decor, housewares, and also for repurposed and upcycled treasures too. Hope you enjoy the visit as well.

Artfire For Vintage, Supplies, Handmade, Designs and Addoway For Everything
Hello, and welcome to PassnItOn Blog! Glad to see you here, and visiting with me again.
I am still doing my transfers of this store to my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store. I am almost done, about 4 more to go, and have been getting some really good reviews from different people on facebook, and etc. Thanks everyone!:) Feels better with kind words from others, and the sweet comments everyone has been leaving for me.
Now....like many others, I to have products that do not qualify for Artfire. Either they are not handmade, designed, supplies, or old enough to be vintage. So, I have to find another place to sell products that I cannot sell at Artfire. And, no, I am enjoying Artfire very much that I will not leave it either:)
Anyway, many of us use more than 1 selling venue for different reasons, different needs, different circumstances, and etc. I would like to suggest to many of you to try Addoway.com. They are a young site, are nicely growing, have had many sellers leave bonanza to come here, AND many are reporting making sales with Addoway too. So, click here, look it over, and give it a try http://www.addoway.com/ref/30ce9c2fa7371bb4ee9c32128a203d8a I have started listings there myself, have had the store for a while but never used it, and am seeing such good things about it that I too am trying it out.
Thanks again for visiting with me today everyone, and make sure you check out my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store, and also, please, checkout out Addoway too. Looks like something good to also grow with too:)
Best of luck to all of you, thanks for visiting me today, and see you again soon:)

Artfire Vintage Collectibles Glassware Home Decor Repurposed Upcycled Recycled
Hello, and Welcome to PassnItOn Blog. Happy to have you here.
Sorry, I know I have been a bit slow getting to this blog, and it has not been intentional. Been working with the transfer of items from my PassnItOn Artfire Store into my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store. Been a little slower then intended due to family, life, and something is always coming up lately. But, I keep working on it as I am able to.
I do have a cloche that I had repurposed, upcycled, and recycled from different pieces put together. I was never really completely happy with the ending product. It felt like something was missing, but not sure what it was. You ever get that sometimes? And then it bothers you, or nags at you a bit till maybe you think of something. Done that a few times myself as I am sure others have too. Well, the other night before transferring it to my LilacsNDreams Artfire store I found a glass piece that appeared to be the right size, height, and was clear glass to match with the glass cloche dome made. I have glued the piece to the bottom, and feel better with the piece now. It gave it a little bit of height, not much, but just enough I think. My only hope is that others will like it as I like it now. My first cloche to make, and I have ideas for another one. Still a working progress for the second one.
I have been busy with my facebook page for LilacsNDreams, and have had many likes this past week from many good Artfire Members, and others finding me along the way. I am really enjoying the combination of both these stores, have had some good responses to it, and some great views too. It really feels good to house things under one roof...so to speak.
When you get a chance, visit my LilacsNDreams Artfire Store. Hopefully this weekend the transfer will have been completed as I have also completed a few other projects I would like to add with the inventory. I am really enjoying this, and feel comfortable with this too. Stop by to visit, say Hi, leave me a comment, and love the visits! Hey, don't forget you can do the same thing here too!:)
Thanks for visiting PassnItOn Blog today. Hope to see you again. Take care everyone, and have a super weekend!:)

PassnItOn Blog, Website, Web Presence, Come Follow Me
Hello everyone, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Glad to have you here, and glad to be able to share with you what I have been working on the past few days, and at times pulling my hair a little bit too.
Yes, I do have a project I am working on to finish for the store, and got some other creative ideas I am working with too. I am finishing up making a cloche right now. I have found a glass bowl that I am adding my own cloche handle to it by decorating it with some simple lace, and flowers. I have a plate that it nicely sits into making this a cloche with the dish too. Pieces are all in great shape, and look almost new too. Hope to have that done next couple of days to show all of you:)
Ok, what I have been steadily working on are my blogs, but mostly websites for this store, and for the other store I have had for much longer than this. Yesterday I was working on my website for this venue when my grand daughter got on my lap, and bumped the keyboard, and not sure what happened from there. Thought I had the issue fixed last night, and finally walked away from it, but found earlier this afternoon was not fully fixed. So, I have removed everything, and trying to get back to the beginning to start it all over again. Hopefully I can fix it as it was looking so good too.
I have decided I sell with different venues, some market places I am signed with, but do not do much with them anymore. It's hard to find a place to call home that is agreeable for what I do, what I sell, and to work with what my needs are. So, a long time ago I had read a blog about a woman, and her husband who had moved from their long time home in CA to Ohio I think it was. They moved their business there, and it was doing well. But, like all of us we are always looking for more ways to get our names out there, show our business, and do it as cost efficiently as possible too. Let's face it, things cost to do. Having your own website can cost with hosting, domains, shopping carts, if you pay someone to design it, and so on.
Anyway, this woman had proposed the idea of how you could bring yourself out by having a blog, and a website, and do it almost for little to nothing cost. She felt it could still work, and was going to work on it to show it could too. The last I knew of she was showing progress with her ideas, and I was happy for her. The idea she had of this had always stuck with me. So, you research, read, see what others are reporting, work on your own venues in between all of this, and keep trying to put it together.
Well, as of today I think I seen a light that is starting to make sense, and is actually coming together for me. So far, biggest cost has been having my domains with GoDaddy. I have a .com for PassnItOn which leads to my blog here, and I also have a .com for my other name of LilacsNDreams which also leads to my blog. I got a special that I took for 2 years with LilacsNDreams, since PassnItOn is new I have taken a domain for 1 year here, and when I visited GoDaddy today with a goal in mind I got my .net for LilacsNDreams at $9.99 for the year. I haven't even spent $50 yet, and have been setting up websites with google sites, weebly, and using my blogs. What a deal, huh?
What I have decided to do is keep everything pretty much between 2-3 sites for everyone to follow. Much easier to remember, easier to find, and with all the sites I am working on there will always be clickable links that take you to the market places you would like to visit where I am selling, and to also visit other sellers too. And, I will also have the links for both of my store names between the sites too. So, if I ever decide to move from a market place, slow down with sales at one and focus with another venue, instead of trying to keep up with where I move to it, and follow me to the the venue, it will be noted between my blogs, and websites.
So, I like to think I will only be a "click away", and hoping it will be more convenient for the customers, friends, those who follow me, and etc. Right now for this store name I have this blog, a website I am working with and reconstructing after yesterday, but do have another website I have found that I rather like too which is at weebly, and is coming along nicely too. So, if you feel the need to visit one of the websites, or my blog all the info will be noted with those places. With my blog here you will see on the right side bar clickable links to these places. With these places you will find links, pictures, and which venue the pictures are for that the item is listed with. So, instead of roaming through many different stores looking, you can visit my blog, or websites to get your ideas before visiting me, and don't forget all the other wonderful sellers that have their wonderful listings too.
I do apologize if this sounds a bit confusing. I am excited, and after working on things for a while, not being computer technie, and trying to understand things when I seen a light, and felt it coming together I got excited:) I hope I can do what I am planning, and have been planning. It all takes time, a lot of work, a lot of devotion, and I am fortunate to be able to be home to do all of this. Please bear with me, and I will keep you updated as things move along here. Thank you for your patience, understanding, following me, and visiting with me. Thanks for visiting, and drop by anytime to see what is happening next. Always welcome to ask questions, leave a comment, share, etc.

Etsy Forums Are Gone Join a Team to Get Your Answers
Hello everyone, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Glad to see you here, and hope you enjoy your visit:)
Well now, just came from etsy forums again. Looks like it started with the Forums, but I thought it was suppose to be mid February that they started with the forums? Anyway, a lot of the forums are being locked. You can view what was said, look for an old post, but no more comments can be made.
So, that then brings up the issues of the Teams that are replacing the forums. First of all, you have to join Teams. You have to apply for them, and be approved for them before you can participate with them. If you have pictures that are not good, or acceptable, a Team Captain can deny you joining the Team. Then, if you go forward, correct what was not acceptable before trying to join a Team, you will then have to contact the Captain to ask them for reapplying. Also, if the Team requests for the Captain to accept the member is another way to gain access I guess.
Wow! Was much simplier when you could go to the forums, and look for the issue you were needing help with. A place where you could openly share, and promote your stores, and if you had a glitch or a bug, you could inquire right away about it. But, now if you have any issues you cannot just openly ask about it. You will have to go through the process of joining a team. But, if you are denied a membership to a Team....where do you go then to have your questions answered? Are they going to start a Team for Bugs and Glitches? If so, what if you were denied a membership to that? Then what?
Sorry, but this sounds very complicating, and very unethical too. This is not a very professional business way to handle a large group of people who make the selling venue what it is. Sorry, but this is really upsetting to hear this, and I am trying to understand it as many other members of Etsy are also trying to adapt, and having problems with it.
So, what do you think? Do you think the Forums being removed was a good thing? Do you feel that having Teams for the forums was the right move? How comfortable are you with selling at Etsy with all the changes happening? Please, feel free to respond to these things everyone. Have to have some where to vent a bit:)
Tomorrow Super Bowl Sunday! Hope ya'll have a great day with family, friends, or watching yourself. Enjoy the day, best of luck to all, and Be Safe!

Repurposed Upcycled Reconstructed Crafters.....Welcome!!
Hello again everyone! Well, as you can see I got the background changed for my blog, and was gonna add a different banner, but have been delayed for just a bit. I generally use bannerfans.com, and have become very accustomed to the site, and what I can do there. Nothing fancy, simple, add my pictures/background I want to use, choose different fonts to use, sizing, borders, etc. But, once again the link is broken to the site. I hope it will not last long. Last time it did this it was like almost a week before I could get back into it. I can't complain, it's all free. But, when you get use to something, been using it for quite a while, it becomes habit:)
Repurposed, Upcycled, Recycled, Handmade, Reconstructed. . . . . Treasures by Me!
Hello, and Welcome to all Crafters of all sorts who are stopping by, and passing through. Great to have you here!
New year, and things always seem to change in regards to this, that, this, and that again. Sometimes some of us set goals for ourselves, and go all year long without completing them, or forgetting about them. Me...guilty of all:) So, this year I am just making notes to myself for things I would like to get accomplished, nothing big, nothing out of the ordinary, but things I can do day by day, week by week, or month by month. That sort of thing. Usually with goals will come changes.
Blame it on the new year, goals, maybe even cabin fever from snow & weather, but I did get started with some changed to my Artfire store. I did something simple of changing my avatar, and banner there. Nothing fancy, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing drastic with all kinds of pictures, and so on. Just some simple colors of pastels which I myself like, and applied that to the PassnItOn Artfire Store. When you get a chance, stop by to see it. I am honestly thinking about bringing those colors into my blog here too. IF I do it before you see the store.....hope ya'll like what I have done:)
Well, wanted to stop by here, say hi, check on things, and better get back to accomplishing some things. Maybe not all I have scheduled to be done today. But, hey, if I can get even a few things done....I have accomplished something. Thanks for visiting everyone, and hope to see you again. Take care......

Visit my Marketplaces with Artfire, and eCrater Too
Time is just flying now isn't it? Where is it going? It has passed me some where as I am not getting everything done as I should, or want to do. I have started items to my Artfire store for PassnItOn. I don't have all in there I wish to have, but am working on it. Taking pictures, measuring things, and listing as I am able to between the dealings of everyday life too:) I have items ready to list again, some items to be completed, and some items that have pieces setting out ready to be reconstructed too. It's exciting, I love it, and wish I had all the time in the world to get them done. But, one day at a time, and hopefully get done what I want to.
When possible visit my store to see what I have added so far, and keep an eye out for what other treasures I will also be listing too. Don't forget I also sell vintage collectibles, and have another store at Artfire for such a thing. The name of that store is LilacsNDreams. Yes, Artfire sells Hand Made, Vintage, Supplies, Media, Design, and Fine Art. Wonderful people there, and everyday something is always being added there. So, visit my stores there when you can, and visit with other sellers there too. And, lastly what I cannot offer at Artfire with their rules of what can be sold, can be seen with another store I am adding inventory to. That store is at eCrater, and also using the name of LilacsNDreams.
When you can stop back to visit with me here, and also with my stores. Love the company, the comments, and seeing everyone there. Wishing everyone a great Sunday, and a beautiful week! Best of luck to all of you!:)
