Hello, and Welcome to Thrift Store Junkies with LilacsNDreams! Glad to have you here, and that you could take some time to visit with me!:) As some already know, I have not done much of anything the past 2 weeks due to being home sick:-(  Great timing as some of us had planned a "Girls Weekend" We were going to meet at a 1/2 way point for us to get together, had the motel reserved, had things mapped out, addresses for some possibilities, and all of that wonderful stuff. New area, new places for treasures, and so on. Well.....I am still home not wanting to infect anyone yet. The girls got together, were packing up, and heading out this morning. I am upset, and missing being there already....but what's a person to do, right? So, I came to my blog to share some thing with everyone here....until I need to step away again:)

Above you will see a few pictures of one of my last ventures out there with thrifting. I was holding off on getting too much due to this weekend, but as you can see from these pieces, and others that have been shown, there are some possibilities to be repurposing with too. I want to try, and take a day where I play around with the glass pieces, and try to put something together a little bit differently than what I have done so far. I keep thinking I will find something else to do, but I do LOVE my glassware. I enjoy painting pieces, but now that it is cold....I will not be able to do much of it unless it is small enough to work with sponge applicators, and some small brushes:)

It's Friday, and I hope everyone is having a beautiful day. It is cool here, and beautifully sunny too! Wish I was out there digging, but health should really come first....no matter how frustrated I am getting...LOL:) Thanks for the visit everyone, take care, and see you again soon!:)

Welcome, and happy you stopped by! I had been working on different topics to post to my blogs, but have gotten off here just a little bit. When you can, stop by to see my LilacsNDreams Blog. I have started to add subcategories to my Blog there like with my main blog. They are all a working progress, have ideas what to do with them, but am not getting them to work fully for me as I need on my main blog. So, will have to play with them a little bit more. 

Visit my Artfire Store for vintage, collectibles, and remember I have started to add some inventory of repurposed, and upcycled items too. Fun! Fun! I do have some things at my Ecrater Store, and will be transferring some products back to that...I hope to have it done this week:)

Hello everyone, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Wonderful to see you here!

I like many others have gotten into some kind of slump of not getting things done. I think with all the google changes of the UPI, having to redo listings to help them get accepted with google, and each site you belong to seems to do it just a lil bit differently. So, that has taken some work to do that, and then also keep up with Facebook, blogs, website, and so on. 

I have been working with my website the past few days. Know how you do something, and it just feels unfinished, not full done, like it is missing something? Well, I was getting that on my website I was working with. Did not feel fully like I wanted it to. I had done quite a bit with it, but it just felt like there was something missing, and could not put my finger on it. Well, I worked with it, and think I have it to a point I can enjoy it more. Right now I have it set up with different tabs for venues I sell with, and am using all widgets that I can to either click, and view more, or have it take you to purchasing pieces too. 

I have reworded some of my Welcome, and About Me, and hopefully I can leave it alone for a while now. I need to work on adding more content with it, but that is one thing I am thankful for that I did add a Blog Tab to the top of my site so there is a place to blog with. At least I can offer things there, show things, and keep everyone updated with things by using my website blog too. 

So, what has everyone else been up to? I know around here this weekend is a very big weekend for graduation! Another year gone by, and another time in life for those who will be stepping forward to experience life, and the new roads that they will take. How scarey, how fun, how exciting, and how heart felt too. 

Hopefully I can keep clearing things out of the house, narrow down some areas, reorganize & simplify, and start working with some crafts again. I have made notes, and hope to imply some of the ideas soon that I have been noting:)

PassnItOn Repurposed UpCycled ReStored Treasures

Good Morning, and thank you for visiting my PassnItOn Blog. Hope this finds everyone doing well, and having a super day. 

I have a mess on my table with pieces of glass to glue together, sorting through pieces, setting pieces together and then deciding do not like it, or altering them, and so on. I have different little mini bouquets of flowers sitting around trying to decide finishing touch for another piece, and babysat grandbaby yesterday.....so I was delayed from what I started to do:) Looking at it today, and still unsure of a few things. 

Think gonna leave house for a bit, get some errands done, clear the head a bit, and hopefully when I come back I will see a picture of things to accomplish with some of these pieces here. 

Don't forget to visit PassnItOn Artfire Shop to see some of the pieces I have done, and watch for more to come....once I get them completed. Also, to see my links, pictures, and notes in one place feel free to visit a site I am working with PassnItOn. I am thinking I might like this better for a website than the google one I have been working with. Much easier to navigate, and deal with. Hello again, and Thanks for visiting with PassnItOn today! Ok, just did some touch up glue on 1 item, have another finished product sitting in front of me, and need to revise the pics I took for it. Sorry, no peeking yet everyone:)

But, I would like to ask that ya'll check out this link with Artfire, and please consider it. You know I have my goodies listed there, and do not feel comfortable listing my repurposed, and upcycled items anywhere else right now. I have made enough in sales that takes care of my monthly fees, and I still profit after expenses. I love the google analytics I get with my membership, I enjoy looking at my stats, I really enjoy the forums there as I learn-share-and lurk too!...LOL:)

So, when you get a chance, click the old Artfire link above that I made clickable for you, and have a looksy, ok? You won't be sorry. Hey, I was always told don't keep your eggs in one basket, which I don't, but I sure do like having most of them in the 1 basket!:) Gotta spend a little to make a little, and why not have fun doing it too?:)

Etsy Changes & the New Unofficial Etsy Forums is Open. . . Visit With Them

Hello, and Welcome to all who visit with PassnItOn today. Thanks so much for visiting me, stopping by, and of course passing through too. I have 2 more items I have completed, and will be picturing them today for listing in my artfire store. Make sure you visit my store to see what is there, and what more is to come too. Now, anotther big issue is again with Etsy. They sure have been stirring things up there with making the news, changes, changes, and more changes which usually go unannounced, and you have to kind of be hit in the face with it too. Their lastest issue is with their forums there. They are closing the forums, and the only way to communicate, ask questions, share, learn, and so on will be by joining a "team". Sorry, this is not the same thing to me, and to many others too. Forums are an excellent place not only for the sellers, but also for your buyers. Everyone loves to read, lurk, share, show, and most of all...ask. Now, for all of that you have to belong to a team which we all kind of know how that goes. Whew! Still having a hard time comprehending this one. 


Due to this issue many are leaving, have left, closed up shop, and ventured off to find other ways to have their own forums for all to visit, and open to the public too. So, when you get a chance, if you haven't already, visit the Unofficial Etsy Forums that has been started. This group is steadily growing, many topics have been started, and they are progressing quite well too. So, give them a visit if you too are infuriated with the Etsy changes, and need some where to go and vent like others:)

PassnItOn at Artfire With Repurposed and Upcycled Treasures

Hello, and Welcome to PassnItOn! Glad you found me, and are visiting with me today. 

I am finishing up with 1 repurposed, and upcycled treasure I almost have completed. I put lace on yesterday, added more glue, today it is dry, and now am looking at some flowers to make a small bundle to attach to the piece with a small ribbon. I used a new plate that came from a set. Was an odd piece, and I have used a light chandlier cover that has light etched flower design in the glass. Attached the 2 and made another candle holder. This piece is looking good, and looks almost like new too! I am anxious to get it done, and have it ready for show. 

I have some extra glass pieces sitting here I have been toying with a bit. I put a piece with this, put these 3 pieces together, this one with that one, and so on. I think maybe I have found a couple of more things to make. I don't rush into things. So, tonight I will got back to looking at them, and probably start gluing again. I have found 3 different glass pieces that fit together nicely to make a lidded compote, or candy dish. I was very surprised the lid fit into the decorative designed bowl I have along with a flatter and wider candle holder to make a base for the piece, and give it a bit more character. Hmmm....I might have to get started gluing it now!

Glass Candle Holder and Bird House both Repurposed and Upcycled

Above is another Glass Candle Holder I have repurposed, and upcycled. Item was reconstructed by me using a brown glass chandlier light cover, a lonely mikasa saucer, I added a glass votive cup holder inside the brown glass with a cinnamon roll brown candle, and then on the edge of the plate has been added this boy, and girl figurine sitting. He is giving her flowers. If you did not feel you wanted this figurine on the plate edge, I have left it that it can be removed. I just used a light tacky substance to hold it in place:)

Here is my 1st birdhouse I have done. I spent some time with this making sure things dried, searching for different embellishments to use, changing my mind, and etc. This is ready to be listed with my PassnItOn Artfire Store. Pictured, weighed, measured, and hope to have this listed with my store tonight (monday) I have attached the white base to the birdhouse I found. I then added some green leaves around the pedestal base with a little green grass too. On the birdhouse I have attached a handmade decorative bird that has a gold beak, some sequins and pearls added to the tail and wings, and has a slight flower design in it's body that blend with the birdhouse coloring. Bird was made from a long time ago, found in one of my storage containers, and added to the perch where it is now glued. The roof of the birdhouse was just a plain unfinished wood. I have added a very light layer of a crackled paint to it giving it just enough outside wear look, and blending with rest of the piece. This birdhouse was made for inside the home, your porch, and etc.

Repurposed Upcycled Reconstructed Crafters.....Welcome!!

Hello again everyone! Well, as you can see I got the background changed for my blog, and was gonna add a different banner, but have been delayed for just a bit. I generally use bannerfans.com, and have become very accustomed to the site, and what I can do there. Nothing fancy, simple, add my pictures/background I want to use, choose different fonts to use, sizing, borders, etc. But, once again the link is broken to the site. I hope it will not last long. Last time it did this it was like almost a week before I could get back into it. I can't complain, it's all free. But, when you get use to something, been using it for quite a while, it becomes habit:)

Been doing organizational work with desk papers, and on the internet today. Hopefully will have enough done I can get some work done tomorrow since I will be snowed in again. Wish me luck everyone. Thanks again for visiting, and hope to see you again soon. Take care:)

Repurposed, Upcycled, Recycled, Handmade, Reconstructed. . . . . Treasures by Me!

Hello, and Welcome to all Crafters of all sorts who are stopping by, and passing through. Great to have you here!

New year, and things always seem to change in regards to this, that, this, and that again. Sometimes some of us set goals for ourselves, and go all year long without completing them, or forgetting about them. Me...guilty of all:) So, this year I am just making notes to myself for things I would like to get accomplished, nothing big, nothing out of the ordinary, but things I can do day by day, week by week, or month by month. That sort of thing. Usually with goals will come changes.

Blame it on the new year, goals, maybe even cabin fever from snow & weather, but I did get started with some changed to my Artfire store. I did something simple of changing my avatar, and banner there. Nothing fancy, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing drastic with all kinds of pictures, and so on. Just some simple colors of pastels which I myself like, and applied that to the PassnItOn Artfire Store. When you get a chance, stop by to see it. I am honestly thinking about bringing those colors into my blog here too. IF I do it before you see the store.....hope ya'll like what I have done:)

Well, wanted to stop by here, say hi, check on things, and better get back to accomplishing some things. Maybe not all I have scheduled to be done today. Repurosed Upcycled Pedestal Stands at Artfire PassnItOn Store

I am having fun, have had some good compliments, one person told me she sees this kind of thing with some of her crafts shows she attends, and how popular these are becoming too.

Repurosed Upcycled Reconstructed Handmade Treasures at Artfire

Hello Eveyrone, and stopping by to add to my blog a big, check on things, the usual:)

I have added another item to my store on artfire, and hope you can stop by to see what I have been doing, adding, etc. See PassnItOn at Artfire to see my treasures I have been making:) I have a few items sitting here that have been washed, air dried, and ready for me to connect those pieces together too. Let's see, cobalt blue goblets, plates with soft blue flowers and blue to match the goblets, some silver trim....Hmm...sounds inviting, huh? I hope to have them done in a couple of days, and ready for show too:)

Hope the weather is doing well where you are. We got hit with quite a bit yesterday. Winds up to 40 mph, morning day and night it went on. This morning woke to sun, and sparkly snow that needed to be moved to get on & off the yard here, to get around to feed horses, and paths to just be able to move. Hard to imagine going from 1 extreme to the next...UGH! 

Well, I better be off to check on things, and see if it is ready for me to start gluing yet:) I have a birdhouse I need to put the finishing touches on, and hope to get that done tonight yet so I can have that listed in my store too. Visit my Marketplaces with Artfire, and eCrater Too

Time is just flying now isn't it? Where is it going? It has passed me some where as I am not getting everything done as I should, or want to do. I have started items to my Artfire store for PassnItOn. I don't have all in there I wish to have, but am working on it. Taking pictures, measuring things, and listing as I am able to between the dealings of everyday life too:) I have items ready to list again, some items to be completed, and some items that have pieces setting out ready to be reconstructed too. It's exciting, I love it, and wish I had all the time in the world to get them done. But, one day at a time, and hopefully get done what I want to.

When possible visit my store to see what I have added so far, and keep an eye out for what other treasures I will also be listing too. Don't forget I also sell vintage collectibles, and have another store at Artfire for such a thing. The name of that store is LilacsNDreams. Yes, Artfire sells Hand Made, Vintage, Supplies, Media, Design, and Fine Art. Wonderful people there, and everyday something is always being added there. So, visit my stores there when you can, and visit with other sellers there too.
